Road Safety

Queensland firefighters attend more than 6000 rescues and medical emergencies each year, responding to a range of emergency situations, including Road accidents.

QFRS responds to Motor Vehicle Accidents and uses the jaws of life, and other tools to free trapped people. We also provide assistance to Ambulance officers to treat patients at the scene, and restore the accident scene so that it is safe again.

QFRS also delivers a road safety education to novice and young drivers. This program is called the Road Awareness and Accident Prevention program.
